The next stage in the college basketball recruiting cycle is underway as coaches are now permitted to contact recruits in the 2021 class. With that part of the recruiting cycle getting going, the Tar Heels didn’t waste any time reaching out to recruits.
Roy Williams and his staff are still building their 2020 recruiting class but getting an early start on 2021 is also key. And right away, they were in contact with at least one recruit from 2021.
On Saturday, Stock Riser’s Jake Weingarten reported that Williams reached out to Chet Holgrem, a five-star center out of the state of Minnesota.
