Brooks finished with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Bacot tallied 15 and 12, respectively. It was Brooks' first double-double of the season and Bacot's first since the NC Central game.
UNC outrebounded the Orange, 48-31, and outscored Syracuse, 42-24, in the paint in the game. The Tar Heels won despite shooting 39.7 percent for the game and 34.1 percent in the second half.
