No. 5 North Carolina will kick off their ACC Tournament on Wednesday, May 23 at 7 p.m. as they take on Pittsburgh for a spot in the ACC Semifinals. With Pittsburgh's upset over Georgia Tech on Tuesday afternoon the Tar Heels path is clear cut. A win will advance Carolina to the semifinals and a loss will send Pittsburgh to the semifinals. This will be the first ever meeting between the Panthers and the Tar Heels in the ACC Tournament with Carolina holding a 10-5 advantage in regular season meetings. Earlier this year, the Tar Heels swept Pitt at home while outscoring the Panthers 22-5.
