NHL News: Avalanche acquire Jonas Johansson, Jack Johnson out for the season, and Tom Wilson suspension ends

The rumored trade deal from yesterday appears to have finally gone through. The Avalanche added a little extra goaltending depth by acquiring Jonas Johansson from the Sabres for a six round pick.

Avalanche close deal with Sabres

The Colorado Avalanche have been sniffing around the goalie market for awhile. They want to make sure they have goalie depth for the playoffs, but Phillip Grubauer is the #1 man in net for the Avs.

Johansson is a 25 year-old net minder who is 0-5-1 this season for the Sabres. He has a GAA of 3.
