LAC Trading R.Okung to CAR for T.Turner

It's rare in the NFL to see one veteran player traded for another with no draft picks involved. It's rarer still when those two players are starters in the same position group. But that's what the Chargers and Panthers have agreed to. According to Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, L.A. will send OT Russell Okung to Carolina for G Trai Turner.

Okung turns 33 in October. He started his career in Seattle, playing in the Super Bowl twice, before spending 2016 with the Denver Broncos. In 2017 he signed a four-year deal with the Chargers, playing 15 games in each of his first two seasons with the team, but missed 10 games in 2019 due to blood clots and a groin injury.
