According to Joel Sherman, the Yankees have traded Chase Headley and Bryan Mitchell to the Padres. No word on the return yet, though it imagine it is mostly salary relief.

Update: Ken Rosenthal says the Yankees are getting up-and-down outfielder Jabari Blash, so yes, it’s a salary dump. At least Blash has a cool name. The question now is how much did they save?
