For the first time in several years, the Yankees are actually still playing baseball after the Arizona Fall League has started. Back in August, they announced their preliminary AFL roster with plans to send Thairo Estrada, Estevan Florial, Chris Gittens, Kyle Holder, Justus Sheffield, and Dillon Tate to Arizona. Things didn’t quite work out that way. For whatever reason, Gittens and Tate were both removed from the roster before play started without an explanation. Hopefully they aren’t dealing with any injuries.
The AFL kicked off on October 10th, so there isn’t too much to report just yet, but we want to make sure that the Yankees’ prospects aren’t forgotten.
