The game got off to a rocky start for the Yankees as the Twins stormed to a 3-0 lead with two home runs in the top of the first, knocking Luis Severino out of the game before he could record a second out. The Yankees came back to tie it in the bottom of the inning on a three-run homer by Didi Gregorius.
