Yankees 1, Blue Jays 4: Buffalo blues

The nadir of the Yankees’ struggles this season was probably the series opener of their first trip up to Buffalo to play the Blue Jays. After that, they seemed to get a little healthier and got things back on track. However, the return to Buffalo has added a couple more annoying games, this one included.

The Yankees wrapped up their season series against the Blue Jays by dropping the finale 4-1. They got decent but not flawless pitching from Jordan Montgomery, and the offense just couldn’t do anything to back him up. Facing Hyun-jin Ryu, the Yankees managed just one run on seven hits, leaving 11 runners on base.
