Having a strong starting pitching rotation is always a benefit in baseball, and the New York Yankees have a stellar group of players when factoring out injuries.
In a perfect world, the Yankees would have Gerrit Cole, Luis Severino, James Paxton, Masahiro Tanaka, Jordan Montgomery, and J.A. Happ as their top options. Since perfect seems to be a word unimaginable at the moment, Severino will not pitch in 2020 due to Tommy John surgery, and Paxton is still recovering from surgery on his lower back this off-season.
