TORONTO -- Aaron Judge connected for his American League-leading 47th home run on Sunday afternoon at Rogers Centre, closing within two blasts of Mark McGwire's record for the most home runs hit by a rookie.

Judge launched a solo blast to left field off Blue Jays starter Marcus Stroman in the sixth inning, trimming New York's deficit to 9-2. McGwire hit 49 home runs for the Athletics in 1987.
