Around the Empire: Yankees news - 9/23/19

NJ.com | Randy Miller: The Yankees are mixing up the order of the rotation this week, perhaps to line up the postseason pitching. They will likely use openers in both games of the short series against the Rays, before starting James Paxton, Luis Severino, and Masahiro Tanaka in that order to wrap up the regular season. If they stick with that rotation for the playoffs, it would give those about a week of rest each before their respective ALDS starts.

New York Post | Dan Martin: One of those rotation pieces is Severino, who pitched for the second time since coming off the injured list on Sunday.
