AL rival swipes relieving help away from Yankees

The Yankees will need to look deeper for bullpen help.

The Indians and Padres agreed for a deal for lefty closer Brad Hand and righty reliever Adam Cimber on Wednesday, The Athletic reported. Cleveland sent prized catching prospect Francisco Mejia back to San Diego in the trade.

The Yankees are in search of pitching help before the July 31 trade deadline and The Post’s Joel Sherman reported the Yankees had talked to the Padres recently with Hand and starter Tyson Ross believed to be their targets.

The AL Central-leading Indians bolstered a bullpen that has struggled this season with Andrew Miller dealing with injuries.
