The first inning of the Yankees’ Subway Series finale seemed to be going well, as they immediately put a rally together off Mets starter Carlos Carrasco. DJ LeMahieu and Anthony Rizzo led the game off with back-to-back walks, bringing up Aaron Judge to bat, fresh off his multi-homer night during Saturday night’s win.
Something was amiss, though. During Judge’s at-bat, he had to step out of the batter’s box a few times, and eventually the team trainer and manager Aaron Boone both came out to check on him. Judge got some eye drops and finished the at-bat, but he struck out and never looked comfortable.
