Rangers’ 2018 first-rounder returning to college no matter what

The size and skill are tantalizing, but K’Andre Miller is playing it prudently — just as he did when the Rangers prospect suffered a knee injury in the middle of his freshman season at Wisconsin and shut it down for the rest of the year.

The 6-foot-3, 210-pound blueliner, whom the Rangers traded up to take with the No. 22 overall selection a year ago, is going back to college for his sophomore season, no matter how good he looks this summer. And already, that is pretty darn good, even just in a difficult on-ice conditioning test at the club’s development camp on Tuesday in Stamford.
