Mika Zibanejad, who grew up playing hockey in Sweden, was selected sixth overall in the 2011 Entry Draft and spent his first five seasons in the league with the Ottawa Senators.

Coming to New York in exchange for long-time Ranger Derick Brassard, there were many questions as to how Zibanejad would fit as a replacement. The 23-year-old stepped up and was a great addition to the roster in his first season.

Zibanejad proved that he can be of great value to the Rangers, and that he fits the Rangers style of play perfectly.

With a new four-year contract and added responsibility, this will be an important year for Zibanejad.
