Mets GM Sandy Alderson will remain with the team next season, sources told Kristie Ackert of the NY Daily News.
The 69-year-old Alderson's current three-year contract expires after this season.
He told Mike Puma of the NY Post earlier this season that he and ownership have not discussed his future with the organization since the beginning of the season.
"It will take care of itself," Alderson told Puma.. "I'm not really thinking about it.
Alderson was hired by the Mets 2010, when he replaced then-GM Omar Minaya. The Mets missed the playoffs in each of his first four seasons, but reached the World Series in 2015 and made the postseason again in 2016.
