Report: Mets and Rangers have discussed Matt Harvey for Jurickson Profar

A trade that would send RHP Matt Harvey to the Rangers for INF/OF Jurickson Profar "has been discussed," reports Jon Heyman of FanRag Sports.

The Mets are reportedly open to the idea of dealing Harvey for a reliever, which you can read more about here. Heyman's report is the first one that has had Harvey being discussed for a position player.

Profar, who turns 25 years old in February, was the top ranked prospect in baseball five years ago -- when he played primarily shortstop. However, his career has been plagued by injuries and ineffectiveness as he has played shortstop, second base, third base, first base, and left field

Profar made just over $1 million this past season.
