The Long Island native has been one of the deadline’s most talked-about trade pieces. With the Blue Jays aiming to move on from their veterans in pursuit of future glory with guys like Home Run Derby runner up Vladimir Guerrero Jr. leading the way, a Stroman trade felt imminent all year long.
However, the Mets have snuck in and paid the price.
