CHICAGO — Kevin Durant apparently has a longtime yen for Duke’s RJ Barrett, the player the Knicks could select at No. 3 in the draft and who possibly could become his future teammate.
A 2017 video surfaced from the sports network Overtime in which Durant gives a scouting report on some young high school prospects and comes across Barrett, the Canadian swingman who was playing for Montverde Academy, the prep powerhouse in Florida. TheKnickofTime podcast first tweeted the video Friday night.
“Kid I’ve been hearing a lot about,’’ Durant said while viewing tape. “I haven’t gotten a chance to watch him as much.
