New York Knicks: Scott Perry was the key to signing Mario Hezonja

The New York Knicks have committed to a youth movement that the front office hopes will address the need to create a more modern system on both ends of the floor. With length and athleticism available at all five positions, New York has created the opportunity for supreme versatility.

One of the players who projects to be able to help the Knicks in that regard is former Orlando Magic forward Mario Hezonja.

Hezonja, a former top-five draft pick, was New York’s big-name signing in free agency. He agreed to a one-year deal worth $6.5 million, and has expressed interest in remaining with the orange and blue on a long-term deal.
