Monday night started the preseason properly for the New York Knicks, defeating the Washington Wizards on the road, 104-99. It was the first of a home-at-home series to open this year’s basketball slate, so they will turnaround for a matchup at Madison Square Garden on Friday, Oct. 11.
For 24 minutes, Marcus Morris was the best player on the court; his 17 points led the way and had the Knicks up by double-digits over the lowly Wizards. However, a confrontation and ball-boink on Washington’s Justin Anderson led to the veteran forward’s dismissal just seconds into the third quarter.
