Mitchell Robinson back on the court for Knicks' last preseason game

The doors hadn’t opened yet for the fans at Madison Square Garden when Mitchell Robinson emerged from the locker room and joined his teammates doing the simple task he had not been able to do in seven months: getting ready for a game.

Robinson got the green light to play in the Knicks' final preseason game, another step toward being ready for the start of the regular season Wednesday against the Boston Celtics. While the Knicks gave a rest day to Alec Burks and held out Nerlens Noel, who did not play in a game in the preseason, Robinson’s return was a bright spot that Tom Thibodeau would have the team at full strength heading into the season.
