The Knicks’ other rookie guard lit up the Garden in historic fashion.
Shooting guard Damyean Dotson, the Knicks’ second-round pick last June, erupted for his career-high 30 points in 32 minutes, hauling in 11 rebounds as the Knicks destroyed the listless Heat, 122-98, on Friday night. He’s the first Knicks rookie since Patrick Ewing to put up a 30-and-10 game.
Dotson filled it up from the 3-point line and in transition and played some power forward in the Knicks’ small-ball lineup.
He made 12 of 21 field goals, connecting on 4 of 10 from 3-point range.
