Former Knick David Lee doesn’t want a piece of Donovan Mitchell’s potential Rookie of the Year Award, but he wouldn’t turn down a piece of his next contract.
Lee, soon heading off to the French Open with his fiancée, Caroline Wozniacki, recalled Mitchell attended his annual kids camp in Chappaqua for four straight years and he didn’t realize it was the same person until last June’s draft.
Mitchell, star guard for the Jazz, hails from Elmsford in Westchester County, and the Knicks passed him up at No. 8.
“There were always decent high school players there and the last day of camp we do counselors versus kids game,’’ Lee told The Post.
