BOSTON — Knicks coach David Fizdale dressed up for Halloween as “Mr. Optimism.”
Despite a 1-4 start, the sky is not falling, according to Fizdale, who added fans and media are panicking only because it’s the Knicks.
Indeed, Fizdale was in vintage form following Thursday’s practice after having been surprisingly curt with the media since training camp commenced. His biggest message is the season is eight days — not eight weeks — old.
“We played our first regular-season game on the 23rd — it’s the 31st,’’ Fizdale said in a quiet corner of TD Garden, where the Knicks face the Celtics on Friday night.
