It was great for the New York Knicks to get a “road” win over the Brooklyn Nets on Monday, but they have a huge road trip that starts on Wednesday night against the Memphis Grizzlies that will lead them out west to face off against teams like the Golden State Warriors.
If the Knicks can somehow survive this trip and at least win three of their six games away from Madison Square Garden, they might be able to make a playoff push during the second half of the season.
But, if the Knicks falter, like many people expect that they will, it might be wise for New York to unload some veteran players, since president Steve Mills and GM Scott Perry made it clear this past summer that their main goal is to develop their younger players and if they make the playoffs that would be great, but that’s not their priority.
