The Jets had a surprise guest Sunday.
Defensive coordinator Kacy Rodgers, who missed last week’s game with a serious health condition, showed up in the MetLife Stadium locker room before the game and greeted the Jets players.
“It was outstanding, like having a brother back in the building, part of the family,” safety Jamal Adams said. “For him to come in here and smile and be around his guys, be around the game, there was nothing like it.”
Rodgers was merely a “casual observer” of Sunday’s 42-34 win over the Colts, Jets coach Todd Bowles said.
