Frustrated Jets receivers: We ‘have to be better’ for Darnold

Robby Anderson couldn’t hold back anymore. Sixty minutes of failure boiled over, the disappointment of falling back under .500.

Looking for a pass-interference call in the end zone that didn’t come late in the fourth quarter, he fired the ball in the direction of one of the officials, resulting in an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty.

“It’s just frustration,” the big-play wide receiver said. “I hate losing. It wasn’t anything intended [for the] ref. I apologize for that to [the] league and to the ref. It was just a reaction. It wasn’t anything malicious at all.”

Anderson wasn’t the only one angry.
