The Jets finally won a game on Sunday, beating the rival Giants 34-27, but they paid the price for it.
Tight end Chris Herndon and right guard Brian Winters suffered serious injuries that could end their respective seasons, coach Adam Gase said on a Monday conference call.
Herndon, in his 2019 debut, has a fractured rib, while Winters re-dislocated his shoulder and may need surgery.
It seems possible both will be placed on Injured Reserve with only seven games remaining. For Herndon, a second-year player who was impressive as a rookie, it has been a lost season.
