New York Islanders Lane Lambert Out for Anaheim Ducks Coaching Job

According to The Athletic’s Eric Stephens, New York Islanders assistant coach Lane Lambert is no longer in the running for the Anaheim Ducks head coaching vacancy.

Lane Lambert has been beside Barry Trotz for years. Lambert was initially hired by the Predators back in June of 2011. For seven seasons, and through three teams, Lane Lambert has been with Barry Trotz.

Lambert is eventually going to get a head coaching gig in the NHL. But for the moment, I’m glad he’s still around. Keeping him around builds continuity for the Islanders as they try to progress from last year’s surprise run.
