Islanders’ Noah Dobson gets 1st goal: ‘Weird one to remember’

Islanders rookie Noah Dobson’s first NHL goal didn’t go exactly how he dreamt it.

His milestone came just under three minutes into the second period Tuesday with the Islanders already ahead 5-1. Dobson, the Isles’ No. 12 pick in 2018, has been filling in amid injuries since making the team out of training camp.

“I just got a pass from [Ryan Pulock] on the wall and I just tried to throw it down there,” Dobson said following the 8-2 win. “I’m not sure what it hit but it ended up in the back of the net.
