It's been a struggle for the New York Islanders in recent weeks. They are winless in their last seven games and their playoff hopes are in real jeopardy with the free fall in the standings after their tremendous start to the season.
While the Islanders had the night off last night, the Bridgeport Sound Tigers were in action taking on the Toronto Marlies. Bridgeport has struggled immensely this season but they have recently been sparked by Kieffer Bellows.
After a slow start, Bellows has caught fire and has 22 goals in 52 games for Bridgeport including a two-goal performance last night.
