EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- As the preseason opener nears, more and more New York Giants players seem to be popping up on the injury list. It could prevent many of them from receiving much-needed preseason snaps.
Among those who sat out Tuesday’s practice were defensive tackle Robert Thomas (soreness) and linebacker Mark Herzlich (stinger). It was the second straight day they did not participate.
Coach Ben McAdoo considered them “day to day.”
Thomas is in the mix to start at defensive tackle next to Damon Harrison.
