It is not piling on to rip the offensive line general manager Jerry Reese assembled this season, mainly because this is not the offensive line Reese assembled this season.

This year’s line is last year’s line. Chew on that for a moment. After assessing the play of their five starting offensive linemen in 2016, a decision was made to bring them all back, to their same positions, in 2017. All that time in the offseason, the film study, the spread sheet analysis, the conversations and meetings and note-taking, the massive preparation for NFL free agency, the even more massive preparation for the draft, all leading to the same conclusion: We’re good.
