New York Giants sign supplemental pick Sam Beal to rookie contract

The Giants have announced the signing of former Western Michigan Bronco Sam Beal to a four-year rookie contract.

Beal was selected in the third round of the NFL Supplemental Draft by Big Blue, and was announced to have being signed Monday morning, per Ed Valentine of Big Blue View.

Despite being a supplemental selection, the cornerback provides ample depth for the Giants on defense. With training camp set to begin on July 25th, Beal will be given the chance to prove his worth in a group of corners that includes Janoris Jenkins, Eli Apple, as well as first-year Giant and former Steeler William Gay.
