The Giants have decided to bench Eli Manning and begin the Daniel Jones era, as the team sits at 0-2 and is going nowhere fast. Eli Manning has struggled out of the gate, throwing three interceptions in the first two games. The move to makes Jones the starter for week three is the right move for the Giants – the organization is rebuilding and Jones needs reps.
Daniel Jones was excellent in preseason and now gets to make his first start on the road against a less than stellar Tampa Bay team. The Giants offense has been stagnant and they need a shakeup, coach Pat Shurmur feels it’s the right time for Jones.
