New York Giants fantasy football Week 13: Saquon Barkley

It’s no secret that Saquon Barkley has fallen massively short of expectations as far as fantasy football and real game impact for the New York Giants in 2019. After taking the NFL by storm as a rookie in 2018 – en route to the Pepsi NFL Rookie of the Year Award – Barkley has only topped 100-total yards in a game just once since Week 2 against Buffalo.

Obviously, the high-ankle sprain he suffered in Tampa in Week 3 has a lot to do with that, but that injury is now approaching ten weeks ago. Head coach Pat Shurmur has famously misused his all-world talent all season long, but it’s difficult to understand why Barkley hasn’t been able to at least look average, as he’s had numerous games where he’s averaged only two-to-three yards per carry this season.
