Giants vs. Broncos inactives: Saquon Barkley IS playing

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — As had been anticipated since Friday, star running back Saquon Barkley is active Sunday for the New York Giants. Barkley will play for the first time on Sunday since suffering a major knee injury Week 2 of last season.

The Denver Broncos, the Giants’ opponent Sunday, will be without edge defender Bradley Chubb (ankle). For the Giants, tight end Evan Engram will not play due to his calf injury. Engram went through a lengthy on-field workout prior to Sunday’s game, and appeared to be moving well.

The Giants will also have wide receivers Kenny Golladay and Kadarius Toney, tight end Kyle Rudolph, and cornerback Adoree’ Jackson available.
