The New York Giants have been doing their part in trying to help players from overseas make a name for themselves in the NFL.
Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News mentioned on Wednesday that the Giants are bringing back Austrian running back Sandro Platzgummer. He was on their practice squad last season as a part of the NFL’s International Player Pathway program, which was instituted in 2017.
Platzgummer will get a second year with Giants and another shot at making their 53-man roster. I’m sure a preseason could help him quite a bit in 2021.
