Giants cut Corey Coleman, sign Nakia Griffin-Stewart

The New York Giants just brought back wide receiver Corey Coleman by signing him to their practice squad on October 27th in case they needed his help at the wide receiver positions.

On Tuesday, New York announced that they’ve terminated Coleman’s contract and signed free agency tight end Nakia Griffin-Stewart to their practice squad. This move makes sense with tight end Kaden Smith possibly missing this Sunday’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals after being placed on the COVID-19/reserve list. Also, with Sterling Shepard back from injury and Austin Mack stepping up as an undrafted rookie, the Giants offense really doesn’t need another wide receiver like Coleman.
