Eagles D coordinator Jim Schwartz compares Giants' Evan Engram to Travis Kelce, Jordan Reed

PHILADELPHIA -- Giants rookie tight end Evan Engram caught the first touchdown pass of his career Monday night against the Detroit Lions, and Eagles defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz believes he has the potential to be among the NFL's elite at his position.

"That rookie tight end," Schwartz said of Engram Tuesday at the NovaCare Complex. "He looks like he's going to be one of those kinds of tight ends we're used to playing, like a Travis Kelce or a Jordan Reed. You know, that kind of guy."

Schwartz had a front-row seat for exactly what kind of an impact a top-tier tight end has on his defense after Kelce caught eight passes for 103 yards and the go ahead touchdown in the Chiefs' 27-20 victory over the Eagles on Sunday afternoon at Arrowhead Stadium.
