2018 NFL Draft: New York Giants get fourth-round compensatory pick

The NFL has officially announced the compensatory picks for the 2018 NFL Draft, and the New York Giants will be getting a second fourth-round selection.

Every year 32 compensatory picks are awarded to teams who have players depart on rich free agent deals in the previous year’s free agency but don’t replace the value with signings of their own.

In this case, the Giants were awarded a fourth-round selection (135th overall, 35th pick in the fourth round) in compensation for the loss of Johnathan Hankins to the Indianapolis Colts.
