Washington State Cougars head coach Mike Leach has pioneered the Air Raid offense at the college level, and he’s recently been able to see one of his proteges succeed in the pros with Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew. Initially an afterthought picked in the sixth round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Minshew has instead become a rookie sensation while filling in for the injured Nick Foles.
While Leach couldn’t be happier for Minshew’s early NFL success, he expressed some frustrations with the process that brought his former quarterback to the next level.
