Sean Payton asks if Jared Cook has had the 'right script for success'

The New Orleans Saints have to be pleased with what they’ve seen from tight end Jared Cook, a free agent signed earlier this year entering his tenth NFL season. He’s spent that time with five teams (including the Saints), having been drafted by the Tennessee Titans back in 2009. The then-St. Louis Rams signed him as a free agent in 2013, and he spent a year with the Green Bay Packers in 2016 before joining the Oakland Raiders in 2017.

He’s also not exactly a household name, averaging 50 or more receiving yards per game only once (2018) in his long career.
