There were two incidents in the most recent season for the Saints in which head coach Sean Payton made some questionable decisions. No, not in play calling. But in negatively interacting with another team’s players or fans.
One was the much discussed “choking gesture” directed at Falcons running back Devonta Freeman. Who Dat Dish vigorously defended Payton on that one saying it was a baseless accusation and that the gesture was calling out a missed penalty by the refs. We were wrong. Payton admitted to the act and apologized to Freeman.
