Drew Brees announced some welcome good news to New Orleans Saints fans on Tuesday: he intends to return to play again in 2020, putting retirement off for at least another year. While Brees has not yet signed a contract extension with the Saints, he’s previously said that he’ll play in New Orleans or nowhere. His decision is the first domino to fall in a stacked class of free agent quarterbacks, impacting situations around the NFL — and in New Orleans, where backups Teddy Bridgewater and Taysom Hill are both due new deals.
However, Bridgewater and Hill aren’t the only teammates to be touched by Brees’ return.
