2019 Saints: Offseason grade, defensive ends

No need to rehash the Alex Okafor departure. He was allowed to walk in free agency following the 2018 Season. Okafor’s in Kansas City now where he’ll get the golden opportunity to work with defensive coordinator Steve Spagnuolo who broke records in his time with the Saints. One of the Saints biggest tasks in the offseason was to replace or improve upon Okafor’s production.

Rather than issue an overall grade as our primary measuring stick for how the Saints did in the offseason, we’re grading by position group. Starting from that most suited for the upcoming season mission goal of winning a Super Bowl, either upgrading the group or keeping it at a high level, to the other end of the spectrum where a position group may have suffered due to offseason moves or lack of them.
