LAS CRUCES, N.M. – NM State opened Friday night with early scoring at Johnson Stadium, but LA Tech's offense delivered several big innings as the Aggies fell 13-8 in the series opener.
The Aggies struck first when tripled to right in the opening inning and came home on a throwing error, followed by RBI groundout to make it 2-1. NM State answered again in the second after Woodcook delivered a twou2011RBI single to tie the game 4–4.
Louisiana Tech, however, seized control with five runs in the third inning, including a grand slam from Colby Lunsford who powered the Bulldogs with two home runs and seven RBIs on the night.
