NEWARK -- Joseph Blandisi doesn't want to have a repeat of last season.
Blandisi finished as one of the final cuts by the Devils in training camp prior to the 2016-17 season, and he was convinced a showing under his expectations cost him a shot at starting the season in the NHL.
So entering training camp this September, Blandisi had some extra motivation to hit the ground running. After two intense days of practice, Blandisi notched a pair of assists in his preseason debut on Monday.
"It's a start you want to have," Blandisi said.
